Rev. Bryan Odeen
Pastor
Pastor Bryan Odeen, grew up in Loyal, Wisconsin. He studied music therapy at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. After spending some time working in hospice care, he began his studies at Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, IA and graduated in 2018. During seminary, he had the chance to work at churches in Cedar Falls, IA, Mason City, IA, and Warren, IL and, after his ordination, served as Associate Pastor at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage, IA. He enjoys running, bike riding, songwriting, reading, and spending time reading aloud with his family. He and his wife, Lisamarie, have three children – Maren, Hattie, and Anders – and each bring him joy with their love, talents, and interests.
Mia Kruse
Organist and Music Ministry Coordinator
Mia Kruse joined the staff at St. Peder’s in 2021. Prior to coming to St. Peder’s she worked as the Director of Orchestras for the Huron Public Schools in Huron, South Dakota. Mia has over 20 years of experience working in music ministry. She has served as music director, choir director, organist, and leader of children’s music ministry in various churches throughout the midwest. She grew up in rural Minnesota and received a Bachelor of Music degree from Concordia College, Moorhead. Over the past twenty years she has led a busy life as a private piano and vocal teacher, performer, church musician, and mother of four.
Lyn Town
Office Coordinator
Lyn Town joined St. Peder’s in July of 2023. She lives in the Wedge neighborhood of Minneapolis with her husband, son, and several pets. In previous jobs, she has created games and activities to amuse her co-workers and was often put in charge of planning company parties. She enjoys reading, writing, drinking coffee, and talking to her pets as if they were humans.
Susan Shelberg
Accounts Manager
Susan Shellberg, Accounts Manager, joined St. Peder’s in 2023. She grew up in the midwest and attended college at Iowa State University in Ames. She met her husband, Jeff there and they raised their 2 boys, Daniel and Ryan, in the Robbinsdale School District. She currently lives in Plymouth w/Jeff and their pets. Her most recent job was accounting for the camping program at the MN Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. She enjoys volunteering, being a member at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church of Plymouth, yoga, reading and kittens.
Sarah Laulunen-Raj
Faith formation Coordinator
Sarah Laulunen-Raj started at St. Peder’s in August of 2023. She has worked with many non-profits throughout her career, most recently as a Bereavement and Volunteer Coordinator at Allina Hospice. She was also blessed to have worked for Feed My Starving Children for many years. She loves working with people of all ages in order to accomplish great things, and she believes that everyone has something uniquely valuable to give. She is excited to be a part of our community and is looking forward to getting to know each of you!
